Not sure if your space has the right access for one of our huts? Use our simple fit-check guide to find out.
Trees and Branches
Make sure there are no overhanging branches or trees that could block the hut's placement.
Fences and Walls
Measure the distance between any fences, walls, or other barriers, and check for soffits or rooflines of nearby buildings. Ensure there’s enough clearance for the hut and its delivery, as it may not fit under soffits when on the trailer.
Please Note: Our contractor cannot lift the cabin over fences, down retaining walls, or other similar obstacles. If this is required, please contact us.
Driveway Clearance
The driveway must be wide enough for the delivery vehicle and the hut.
Our Standard Hut Size
Width: 2.7m
Roofline (including soffit and guttering): 3.1m
Minimum Clearance Required: 3.5m wide and 3.5m high
The cabin’s highest point is just under 2.5m high. However, when on the trailer, it reaches a total height of approximately 3.7m.
Optimal Clearance
We recommend a minimum clearance of 4m x 4m to ensure a smooth delivery.
Pathway to Placement
Ensure there’s a clear path from the driveway to where you want the hut. Look out for narrow gates, steps, or tight corners that could make the delivery difficult.
Ground Level Considerations
The ground where the hut will be placed should be as level as possible. We recommend no more than a 300mm difference in ground level from one end of the hut to the other. If the slope exceeds this, we’ll need to discuss possible solutions with you before installation.
Our delivery process is similar to towing a large boat. The hut is initially jacked up at one end, allowing our driver to back the trailer under it. Once positioned, the hut is carefully lowered and secured onto the trailer using a winch to ensure it sits properly.
Upon arrival at your property, the driver will reverse the hut as close as possible to its final destination. From there, he will lower the hut onto the ground. To complete the placement, the driver may use additional equipment, such as winches, pulleys, and potentially a trolley wheel system, to manoeuvre the hut into its final position.
All our cabins are carefully crafted using locally sourced materials. We have a range of different cabins for sale and available to rent, so you can find the perfect solution to suit your needs.
Designed with you in mind, our larger-than-usual cabins feature a surprisingly roomy layout. Depending on stock availability, our cabins can also be requested to have a left or right angled roofline and larger windows. Typical wait times range from 1 week if in stock, up to 4-6 weeks if we need to manufacture a cabin for you.
